I like all of their suggestions and pairings.  These look like great sandwiches – but I put together my own fresh garden turkey burger, using fresh basil pesto-mayo, fresh tomato, basil- tomato cheddar cheese and Jennie-O turkey burger.  It was really tasty, the family loved it. So, would we switch to lean, delicious Jennie-O from our regular burger?  Well, no, because we don’t have one regular burger, but we’re willing to add it to the lovely list of burgers that we enjoy!

The truly interesting part is how Thomas found his culinary calling.  After a several tours of duty in Iraq, Thomas was stationed in Australia.  One day at a BBQ he made some homemade salsa, which piqued the interest of one of the higher ranking officers.  A short while later they needed to cater an event for the Australian Minister of Defense and Thomas was called upon just based on the salsa he had made!  This was the first of many events where Thomas was called upon to cater various high level military/diplomat functions.
After he discharged he returned to the US and landed in Colorado, where he is currently enrolled in the culinary arts program at Johnson & Wales University.

Game of Thrones - Wow – Tom Colicchio is taking Food Trucks to a new level. To go with the Game of  Thrones an HBO series premiering on April 17th, Tom Colicchio will be developing a menu to transport diners to the time period of the Game of Thrones.

• Three hundred servings of free food inspired by the rich depictions of the banquets featured in the new series – such as roasted rabbit, spice roasted duck, and venison – will be dished out daily over two weeks (3/28 – 4/1 in NYC, 4/4 – 4/8 in LA).

Sandra Lee is hosting the worlds largest bake sale to benefit the Food Bank of New York.
