Chocolate Raspberry Vodka Cocktail – Friday Unwind

When I get to play with Chocolate Raspberry Infused Vodka by Godiva, I am one of the luckiest people around. This was sent to me to try out and I love it, vodka with chocolate and raspberry. Not one of the sticky sweet liqueurs, but a clear vodka (5 times distilled) with chocolate and raspberry infused in it. It is a little sweet, you don’t need a simple syrup to go with it, but can drink it straight on the rocks. This would go great for a mother’s day gathering. If my mom, my sisters and I were sitting around after dinner looking for cocktails, this would be fun to hang out and mess around with. This vodka might be good to soak some brownies in or maybe use to make the icing.
I didn’t want a foamy or thick drink to use this infused vodka as an ingredient in. I wanted a clearish drink, with some berries, ice and fizzy added. I came up with a decent drink, that my husband …
Friday Unwind – Yummy Citrusy Spring Fever
March 23, 2012 - Written by DianaTonight’s drink brought to you by Ketel One Citroen Flavored Vodka – a lemony, limey floral tasting vodka. I liked this one a lot, not sweet, but has a dry crisp citrus flavor. This is not lemonade in a bottle, it doesn’t have a sugar or saccharin finish, but finishes with a lemon/lime floral note. My husband and I both liked the sip plain and then we tried Spring Fever and loved that too. I think you could have it for breakfast, it’s so yummy.
My photo looks pinkish because I used a blood orange – and don’t you think it’s a very pretty drink with that blood orange. Makes you think of cherry or apple tree blossoms.

Summer didn’t end yet, not yet, not until September 22, at 11:09. Tomorrow’s the last of it, and I think we should still celebrate with one last Cookerati Tequila Round Up. I’ll share a few oldies, and a few newies because I think tequila has been one of my favorite liquors of the Summer of 2010. I want to express to you that it’s important to buy really good tequila for your drinks and it will make such a difference. Right now, I’m trying out Don Julio Blanco, a really delicious tequila – great for making your last summer cocktail.

One Last Summer Tequila Cocktail – Nectar of Gods

Riazul Octli (Nectar of Gods)
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Riazul Silver Tequila
- 1 1/2 oz Pulque
- ½ oz Agave Nectar
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup
Shake tequila, pulque, agave nectar, lime juice and hibiscus syrup with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve.

Here’s a great end your summer with Grilled Tequila Lime Chicken Dinner. This recipe uses 1800 Silver Tequila – gotta love it, go with the good stuff.
- 1/4 cup 1800 Silver Tequila
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 fresh squeezed orange
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons minced seeded jalapeño chilies
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 6 boneless chicken breast halves with skin

This past weekend was a big blur of family time. Two nephews, from different sisters had events going on this weekend. My husband and I wrangled my mother in law to stay with our teens (leave them alone, I think not), and drove 600 miles for a long weekend visit. Long days of driving, they were. Saturday while we were at my sister’s enjoying each other’s company, I brought out the Godiva Liqueurs I was sent to review. First off, I must tell you I was totally caught off guard because my mom who doesn’t like sweet stuff, enjoyed the white chocolate a lot. Mexican Snow by Christian Woodside Gonzalez, Bar Manager and Bartender from Miami’s Love HateIngredients:
Two medium sized strawberries
3/4 oz. Partida Agave Nectar
Tea spoon of half and half
1 1/2 oz Partida Anejo
Powdered sugar for garnish
Muddle strawberries and Partida Agave Nectar in mixing glass. Add half & half and Partida Anejo. Shake vigorously for

Pama Pomegranate liqueur is the ultimate in alcoholic enjoyment. If you are hosting a party, or going to a party, this would be a really unique and delicious additive to your drinks. You can mix this in with other alcohol for a mixed drink or drink it over ice like I have recently. This delicious, delectable, delightful bottle of good stuff is just what you need to surprise everyone – unless of course, like me, you don’t want to share. My husband and I actually debated over whether or not to bring Pama to a party we went to. What we ended up bringing was another bottle of white wine, one we didn’t mind leaving behind. You see, we’re not sure we’re going to share it, we may just keep it hidden for our own enjoyment.
