My mom comes to visit me once or twice a year.  She used to bring her laptop and work, but now she’s finally retired.  She does not like to sit still and always wants jobs to do around the house.  The last time she was here,  I let her do my fridge (which is an honor, I assure you).  She tackled it with gusto, and part way through holds out the little orange box with two fingers and says, "Here I think this needs to be replaced".

Well, it probably did need to be replaced, but I didn’t know for sure, since I never wrote a date on it.  Usually my baking soda boxes rotate.  I keep it for baking, then to the fridge when I think it’s past baking prime and when the fridge is done, I dump it into the garbage disposal.  Truthfully, I don’t know how long I keep it in anyone place, usually I move it when I’m cleaning.  Now, however, I have a Fridge Fresh.  It’s round, and sticks to the side of your fridge wall, but best of all, it has replacement indicator.   When the indicator turns pink, you replace it ( or you dump the baking soda down the disposal and throw away the rest).  Arm and Hammer also has a shaker bottle which is good for shaking the baking soda on your counter when you are scrubbing it clean, or deodorizing your garbage can.  I also use baking soda in my pot when I burn something and it sticks to the bottom.  You put  hot water in the pot, sprinkle in some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and dish detergent, and let it sit for a bit.  It helps to clean the burnt on bad stuff away.  Baking soda is also good for cleaning your vegetables off.  Just sprinkle a little bit on and scrub them clean.

You can find out more, plus get some great Arm & Hammer coupons at the Arm & Hammer website. You need to register, but then you can follow the links to get to the coupons.
