Today is the first day of summer and to celebrate, I thought I’d tell you about Dairy Queen’s new blizzard. It’s too early to get the new Blizzard because it won’t be out until July 1st. Dairy Queen’s July Blizzard of the Month is…
TA DA!!!! Thin Mint Blizzard using Girl Scout’s delicious Thin Mint cookies. The number 1 best selling Girl Scout cookie and well, my favorite Girl Scout cookie is Thin Mints. Blizzards are one of my favorite summer treats, with the Oreo Cookie Blizzard being my favorite, so far. I will definitely try out the new Blizzard next month. Besides the 4th of July being a good day to celebrate with a Blizzard, July 20th is National Ice Cream Day, another good day. I have a coupon for a free Thin Mint Blizzard that I am going to try out on July 1st. Guess what? One of you lucky Cookerati’s get to sample the Thin Mint Blizzard too. We’re holding a
First Day of Summer Thin Mint Blizzard Contest.
Here’s the rules and as everyone knows you have to have rules for a good contest.
In the comments, tell us either :
- What your favorite Blizzard flavor is, or
- What flavor you would most like to see in a Blizzard, or
- What your favorite Girl Scout Cookie is.
This contest is closed at midnight on Wednesday, June 25th.
We would like to get the coupon sent to the winner as soon as they respond and maybe before July 1st, so they can have it on the first day it’s available.
BTW - Did you know you could order a customized blizzard cake for you parties from Dairy Queen. I didn’t, but a Thin Mint Blizzard Cake sounds wonderful.

I must have that new blizard. The thin mints are my favorite. I still remember when I was in the girl scouts and we sold 2000 boxes of cookies. I still get about 5 boxes of thin mints and samoas every year.

The thin mint blizzard sounds awesome. My favorite girl scout cookie is Carmel DeLite which is a new name for an old favorite. I have forgotten what the old name was but I haven’t forgotten about the flavors in those cookies.

I haven’t seen anyone selling Girl Scout cookies in years! (Out here, the girls are told NOT to go to houses of people they don’t know. so they only sell to families and friends, or with a leader in front of grocery stores. But I never catch then at the grocery, and I don’t know any scouts in our area.)
My husband and I both agree, our favorite is Do-Si-Dos. (Peanut butter and oatmeal! yum!!)

Ok, this Thin Mint Blizzard will give it a serious run for its money, but every time I go to DQ I swear I’m going to try something new and I always end up leaving with a Chocolate X-treme Blizzard. Oh those brownie bits are so yum!

My favorite blizzard is german chocolate…it’s not on the menu anymore, but they make it…vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, pecans and coconut! Yummy!

Samoas are my fav girl scout cookie. Once in a while (its been a long while) Edy’s will have a limited edition ice cream with those in it. I CAN (and have) eat a whole box!!!

I don’t go to Dairy Queen too often so I currently don’t have a favorite Blizzard flavor.
