It’s On the Box! Philadelphia’s Black Forest Cheesecake.

I find myself cutting out cardboard recipes from the sides of boxes, and they just seem to collect in little piles and never get made. I was sorting through one such pile and rediscovered Philadelphia’s black forest cheesecake and just had to try it.

And wow it was good!

Mine is actually crust side up because I dropped it upside down on the stove and had to do an emergency spatula rescue. Thankfully, dropping your baked goods does not affect the taste!

Here’s the recipe.

It calls for a 9×13 baking pan, but here’s a nifty volume guide that I used to retrofit the recipe for a round pan.

I’m always searching for new things to try but forgetting one of the most obvious places to look: on the box. This time, I’m glad I did!

That recipe looks good. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who has to rescue my food from time to time. Maybe we’ll try this (meaning I’ll see if my daughter will have the time to do it) for mother’s day. Wouldn’t that be nice to bring to the family gathering?

I saved this recipe too, Robin. I’m going to have to try it now! Yours looks delicious.
