Answers must be at least two sentences long. so no  ”drink it” or “eat it” comment will be accepted.

The only way I’ve had pomegranate is eating the seed straight out of the fruit and pom juice. I love them fresh; suppose I should try a recipe some day! Thanks :)

I love making smoothies with pomegranates. I blend together pomegranate juice, yogurt, strawberries, and ice. It’s a very tasty and refreshing snack!

  7. Barbara J says:

A splash of Pom juice in a tall glass combined with ice and club soda and “presto” – you have a healthy, delicious alternative to sugary carbonated beverages. It’s great!

  8. Jenny Gibbons says:

I sprinkle fresh pomegranate pips on my salads. With a balsamic vinegar-based dressing, their sweetness is amazing. But my favorite pomegranate dish is pomegranate granita. Basically you pour juice into a baking dish and freeze it. I will sometimes use pure pomegranate juice with a little sugar to sweeten it, or I mix about half pomegranate juice with half cherry or grape juice. Put the baking dish in the freezer. Once the juice begins to freeze, take a fork and scratch it up about every 5 minutes or so. In about a half hour you’ll have a granita, a slushie-like dessert. Very simple and amazingly good.

i treat myself to the fruit all to myself on a sunday afternoon in front of a classic film and indulge myself

I like to make watermelon POM icies in the summer time. Just put fresh seeded watermelon in the blender and about 1/2 cup of POM and blend with ice. They are great!

  12. Lmay says:

I juice it and then use it in a marinade with chicken and lime. Really good.

  13. BariV says:

A POM marinade for any meat is great

  14. Jonathan Bingham says:

They are very likable with breakfast.

  15. Barbara Long says:

I really like Pomegranate juice. I haven’t tried it in any other form yet!

  16. Nancy Givon says:

We, I mean our foody group, have a pomegranate juicer, we bought it after a trip to Israel, when we were introduce to the fresh squeezed pomegrante juice you could buy on the street. A glass of fresh juice with a big scoop of soft vanilla ice cream is out of this world, or just whipped cream in the pomegranate juice. The sweet and tart is wonderful.

  17. I love POM drinks, especially the new light POM tea.

  18. Karen says:

I really love to eat pomegranate seeds! I like to eat them plain, by the spoonful, and so do my children. I have also used them as a garnish for salads (really good in spinach salad), and recently I had dinner at Mesa Grill in NYC and was thrilled to find pomegranate seeds sprinkled over the pumpkin soup appetizer I ordered. I was a little skeptical about the flavor combination, but the pomegranate seeds brought a nice acidity to the rich and spicy pumpkin soup. Yum!
