I really love to eat pomegranate seeds! I like to eat them plain, by the spoonful, and so do my children. I have also used them as a garnish for salads (really good in spinach salad), and recently I had dinner at Mesa Grill in NYC and was thrilled to find pomegranate seeds sprinkled over the pumpkin soup appetizer I ordered. I was a little skeptical about the flavor combination, but the pomegranate seeds brought a nice acidity to the rich and spicy pumpkin soup. Yum!

We, I mean our foody group, have a pomegranate juicer, we bought it after a trip to Israel, when we were introduce to the fresh squeezed pomegrante juice you could buy on the street. A glass of fresh juice with a big scoop of soft vanilla ice cream is out of this world, or just whipped cream in the pomegranate juice. The sweet and tart is wonderful.
