My favorite Mediterranean recipe using Star Extra Virgin Olive Oil is for making olive oil “ice cream”.
Also, not knowing where I’ll be on the internet at any given time, I’ve
signed up for your RSS feeds, Tweets, and Facebook.

Forgot to post the recipe for the ice cream:
6 egg yolks
3/4 of a cup sugar
4 cups milk
Pinch salt
Pinch lemon zest (optional)
3/4 of a cup Star extra-virgin olive oil
Beat egg yolks and sugar until light yellow in color and fluffy. In a pot, combine the milk, salt, and lemon zest and heat to 186 degrees (over medium heat). Slowly pour hot milk into egg-yolk mixture, stirring constantly to prevent curdling. Fold in the extra-virgin olive oil. Allow the mixture cool. When cool place in your ice-cream machine (following machine’s instructions).
I have a small Cuisinart ice cream machine. It takes 35 minutes to make the ice cream. Pour ice cream into container. Freeze until hard. Serve.
