Celebrate With Cookerati and a Kenmore Elite 5 Quart Stand Mixer Giveaway

I was given a choice of Kenmore small kitchen appliances to review for Cookerati and also give one away. In spite of all the drama of the holiday season, there is something to celebrate in Cookerati-land. This December we hit three years of posting to this wonderful blog of ours. We started with a bunch of different people, but it slowly wound down to Deb and me, though Deb does more of the administrative stuff and I do more recipes. Anyway, I chose the Kenmore Elite 5 Quart stand mixer because darn it I didn’t have one, and I coveted one for years. Years, I tell you. 75 Years of Dinty Moore/Hormel Chili – Giveaway

Raise your hand if you’re a Dinty Moore/Hormel Chili Fan. I am, I have my hand waving high. It’s one of my shortcuts, one of my very favorite shortcuts. When you go out to work like I do, work later so that you can go to a track meet, then stop off at the store to pick up lunch foods, having a can of Chili helps out a lot. My son does alright when it comes to cooking, but after the orthodontist and practice, and knowing he has homework ahead, he didn’t want to cook dinner. So I told him to throw a couple of potatoes in the toaster oven and we could toss Chili over it after I came home. We usually top that with a little cheese, and maybe sour cream if we have it. Tonight we used Chili Master White Chicken Chili with Colby Cheese shredded over top. It was filling, fast and fantastic.

Spife Giveaway
August 24, 2009 | by DianaWe have tried out the spifes and they are winners, and the best tool for eating kiwi for lunch. I keep one in my desk and have one at home. My son will take one to school on days he eats kiwi for lunch. Before the spife he wouldn’t consider kiwi for lunch because it was too messy. Kiwis are so good for you too.
