		<description>I&#039;m 5 weeks into my new lifestyle - won&#039;t call it a diet - and as of today, I&#039;ve lost 14 pounds.  Here&#039;s what I&#039;ve done:

- Exercise more.  I&#039;m a jock so increasing exercise wasn&#039;t all that hard to do.  I ride my bicycle first thing in the morning and for breakfast I have only a supplement smoothie with a banana thrown in (about 200 calories).  I usually ride between and hour and 15 minutes and an hour and a half, riding anywhere from 14 to 20 miles.  This I do 5 or 6 times a week.  I also installed a basketball hoop and shoot every day for at least a half an hour.  At night I swim or do water aerobics.  I hit the golf range or course at least once a week as well. Each week I add something new to the mix - I&#039;m going to start doing pushups and situps each night using an exercise ball.

- Eat Less Junk.  I was travelling a lot and when I travel I eat crap - McDonalds, Wendy&#039;s and the local pizza parlor are my downfall.   Most days I&#039;m home and eat a large salad for lunch sometimes with chicken, but I only use rice wine vinegar and olive oil.  

- Meditate More.  I was under a lot of stress, so I needed to calm the heck down.  I&#039;ve discovered an internet hypnotherapist by the name of Steve G. Jones and bought a couple of his mp3s.  I listen to his sessions as I lay down to go to sleep and it helps a lot.

- Weekly acupuncture.</description>
