Weight Loss Wednesday: Week 3 on Nutrisystem
By: DebIn Food Tips on August 20th, 2008
This is my third week with Nutrisystem and yes, I’m still going. I admit, over the weekend I wanted to fall off the wagon and eat stuff I’m not supposed to. I’m happy to report I stayed on plan. The past couple of days though, I had no interest in food. I had my three meals, but had to force myself to eat my snacks. And yes, you have to have your dairy and protein or fruit snacks twice a day - you need the mini meals to keep the metabolism flowing.
Though I went for a long hike on Sunday and did some swimming our pool, I didn’t get as much exercise as I would have liked. I’ve just been too busy with work and my son. I know it sounds like excuses, but sometimes I just can’t fit that hour of exercise in. I do my best to workout three to five times a week though. Fortunately, Nustrisystem is designed to work without exercise.
I’m starting to experiment with foods. I still love my cheesy potato pancakes for lunch and for dinner I like to take the taco dinner and make it into a taco salad. I incorporate my meal, veg and fruit/salad serving into one bowl and salsa and fat free sour cream are free foods.

Nustrisystem Online
I like using the Nutrisystem website to track my meals and progress. One of my favorite parts of this program is that I don’t have to count calories or measure. I use the Nutrisytem guidelines and log them into my tracker. It lists the calories for me so I can see if I’m on track for 1200 calories a day. Anyday I feel like eating more, I look at my food tracker see if I have the calories to spare. What I really like about logging my food is that I see it all in front of me. Writing down everything I eat really helps to keep it all in check.
Bottom line? Still doing Nustrisystem. Still losing weight. Wii Fit says I lost another couple of pounds but I haven’t yet stepped on the bedroom scale. I’ll give the weight rundown next week. I really like this program and can see that it works, not only for me but for others. The success stories of some of the people I’m meeeting online is inspiring.
