Chef Pepin Toaster Oven Broiler

Tyson’s has a wonderful line of finger foods called Any’tizers. You’ve probably seen the chicken wings and drums in the freezer section of your supermarket. I’m happy to report they also have Any’tizers featuring ribs. Now, if there’s one food my family can’t get enough of, it’s ribs. My husband smokes his all day until they fall off the bone plus we have every rib join within a 100 mile radius staked out. So believe me when I tell you we know ribs.

My family had a chance to sample the Any’tizers ribs and they are awesome! Delicious, with just enough seasoning, these too fall off the bone. They’re easy to make, and go quickly, so buy a lot! My only gripe is that I can’t find them in any of the stores near me.

Would you like to try some Any’tizers? Tyson’s would love to offer you a chance to win coupons for any five Any’tizers, PLUS they’re throwing in a Jaques Pepin Toaster Oven so you can cook them up too. This is a $101 value!Tyson's New BBQ Seasoned Pork Mini-Ribs

So how do you win? I’m always disappointed when I post contests because I’ll request something specific and still get mostly "enter me" or "sign me up" type comments. So here’s the thing…I’m not going to make you jump through hoops, but I will disqualify anyone who doesn’t follow directions. For this contest, we’re asking for your best "toaster oven" recipe. These can be little appetizers, desserts…anything you can cook in a toaster oven. Post the recipe in the comments and we’ll choose a winner at random next Sunday. To repeat, this contest end Sunday at Midnight.

    Easy Smores

    1 pkg. graham crackers
    1 pkg. marshmallows
    1 (12 pack) Hershey’s chocolate bars

Place chocolate bar on top of graham cracker
then place 2 big marshmallows on chocolate. Cover with another cracker then cook in toaster oven for 1 minute or until done. Very yummy and easy enough for kids to make.

  6. DIANE LENOX Says:

My favorite thing to cook in the toaster oven was something we use to make under a broiler when I was a kid. (no such thing as a toaster oven when I was a kid)

I take a couple of slices of bread and put one or 2 slices of cheese on each one. Take one slice of bacon and cut into two pieces. Put one on each of cheese covered bread. Cook in the toaster oven until the cheese is starting to brown and the bacon is cooked.

  7. Marilyn Wons Says:

1 can tuna mixed with diced onion
    2 pieces favorite bread
    2 slices American cheese
    2 strips uncooked bacon

Spread tuna mixture on bread slices; top with cheese slices; top with bacon slices. Put in toaster oven until cheese starts to melt and bacon starts to curl. This is so fine tasting!

  8. Rita A. Says:

I like to make spicy grilled tomato sandwiches.

    2 slices of bread
    1 fresh tomato sliced thick
2 slices of pepper jack cheese
A splash of hot wing sauce.
    Ranch dressing

Lay the tomato on the bread and sprinkle with the hot sauce on it. Lay the pepper jack cheese on the tomato and toast until cheese is melted. Top with ranch dressing and enjoy.

  9. Joseph Says:

This is a simple recipe. Take a 4 oz. bison steak (they come pre-packaged). Set the toaster oven on broil and the timer on 5 minutes. When it goes off, turn the steak over and set for another 5 minutes. The steak show be pink to medium rare (Bison isn’t tasty when well done.). Serve with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes. It’s a delicious, high protein, low fat dinner.

  10. Allen McLeod Says:

    Looks good to me.

  11. Jay Alarcon Says:

    Stuffed Mushrooms

6 Large size white mushrooms cleaned and stemmed.
    1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
    1/3 cup parmesean cheese grated
    1/2 cup fresh spinach chopped.
Adjust ingredients according to mushroom size and quantity.

Mix the spinach, bread crumbs and cheese and fill the mushroom caps. Sprinkle with more cheese if desired. Toast until cheese mixture is melted and bubbly. Optional: can also add pepperoni chopped for a meaty appetizer.

  12. Bernadette Says:

We like garlic bread with spaghetti, so I take slices of bread, spread with butter, sprinkle with garlic powder and pop in the toaster oven. If you use the toast setting it gets crispier on the top.

  13. Ann Babenco Says:

    Spinach Stuffed Beef

    1 whole onion - chopped
    2 tbls. butter
1 pkg. chopped spinach thawed and drained
6 oz. any variety of cheese - shredded (I’ve used cheddar, mozzerella, Brie, and Bleu.)
One lg. rounded slice of Round Steak or Flank Steak - Pounded as flat as possible

Saute onion in butter until almost clear. Add chopped spinach and stir until spinach is hot, but not cooked. Remove from heat and mix spinach and onion with cheese.
Form the spinach mix into a tubular shape and wrap the steak around it, securing it with butchers twine or toothpicks.
Wrap Tightly in foil. Place on toaster pan.
Bake at 350 or 35 minutes.
Unwrap top of foil to expose and cook for another 5-10 minutes until top is brown.
    Slice and serve!
    This is yummy!

  14. Michele Dipert Says:

    POTATO CHIP CHICKEN CASSEROLE

2 c. or more boned, cooked, cut-up chicken
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 tbsp. lemon juice

Stir these together - then add:

    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    2 tbsp. minced onion
    2 tbsp. chopped pimento
1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper
    2 c. chopped celery
    Water chestnuts (optional)

Mix gently all together. Add 8 ounce package crushed potato chips, not to finely crushed. (Save a few for the top.) Put in casserole dish, sprinkle 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese on top, top that with a few crushed potato chips, bake 45 minutes in toaster oven or until it bubbles and is golden brown. This is very good and it uses up the crumbs in the bottom of the potato chip bag!!

  15. Kat Says:

Baked potatoes… We take a can of chili cook it up in the microwave and then pour it over potatoes baked in the toaster oven (better than microwave potatoes). Throw on some cheese and dinner’s ready.

  16. Gail A Says:

Here is my favorite toaster oven anytizer.
Split an english muffin in half and top with your favorite pizza sauce. Top with Mozzerella cheese and then add you favorite topping. Mine is pepperoni. I broil them till all brown and bubbly.

  17. Cheryl W. Says:

My favorite recipe in the toaster oven is:

Take your favorite tortilla chips and put some in a layer on the toaster oven tray. You can spray the tray first with PAM. Then you spread dollops of salsa over top of the tortilla chips. Then you sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Bake this in toaster oven on 350 for about 5-7 minutes (watch to make sure they don’t burn), or just until the cheese is melted and the edges of the chips are brown. Take out of toaster oven and put a large spoonful of sour cream in the middle of it all. Get a glass of something to drink and you are all set for watching tv! YUM!

  18. Brenda Elsworth Says:

We are not overly creative here… we do the pizza bagel thing which is always a hit with the kids. When my mom is around, we usually hollow out tomatoes, toast em slightly while she mixes the “insides” with little olive oil, garlic, and cheddar cheese shreds… she fills the partially toasted tomatos with her mixture and heats up til cheese is nice and browned. I don’t like tomatoes…so i don’t know what it tastes like… but she loves it!

  19. Tonya Froemel Says:

We like to cook baked potatoes in our toaster oven. Just scrub the potatoes, place them on the rack and cook on 475 for an hour. The skins get really crispy and the inside is moist and yummy. Cut them in half and top each half with sour cream, bacon bits and a few chopped chives.

  20. chris swanson Says:

Here is mine. I am sure everyone has had these at least once.

Pizza bagels. I love them just a bagel with pizza sauce and lots of cheese and slices of pepperoni or green pepper — whatever is your fancy.

    Yumm brings back memories.

  21. K. Cleaver Says:

We make mini pizza’s using English Muffins. Just slice them in half and add pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni and any other items you like. I sometimes add green bell pepper and always add red pepper flakes.

My kids enjoy them simply because they can make them, themselves.

  22. Adrienne Gordon Says:

I make jalapeno poppers. You fill jalapenos w/ a cream cheese and colby jack mixute, bread hem, fry them, freeze them, and when you want them, just pop em in the toaster oven for 20 minutes.

  23. Pat Babcock Says:

Toast an English muffin. Then place a slice of sharp american cheese on each half and broil until the cheese melts (I actually like mine to blacken slightly). Makes a quick, tasty breakfast I can take to work - much cheaper than a bagel from the drive-thru.

  24. Barbara Says:

    Pizza Bagels
Slice bagels in half top with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and bake till cheese melts…yummy and easy!

  25. Sandi Cline Says:

Core one apple and slit the skin on two sides. Place in a shallow dish with an edge on it. Pour Cherry Berry Soda (i use Faygo) in the middle of the apple until it covers the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cook until apple is done. A great, quick, desert or snack.

  26. Kathleen Debernardi Says:

Toast my bread and then put cinnamin, sugar and melted chocolate

  27. Ellen Ring Says:

Before ours gave out, we used it for quick nachos all the time. We would put a plate of corn chips in, add cheese, diced onion, and olives. Toast it and add fresh tomatoes. It was great.

  28. Julie Hendrix Says:

I don’t have a toaster oven but I wish I had one to pop in snacks for the kids since their home from school. My favorite recipe would have to be nachos with cheese. Lay chips on pan, layer cooked ground beef, then salsa, then sprinkle lots of shredded cheese, pop in toaster oven until cheese melts. Take out, munch and repeat.

  30. Shannon Says:

The fish wilts the arugula leaves just a little and all these flavors together are just delish.

    Herbed Oven-Fried Chicken

    1/2 cup buttermilk
    2 cloves garlic, finely minced
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 tablespoon oil
1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or chicken tenders
    1 cup rolled oats
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves or rosemary needles
    Olive oil spray

In a shallow dish, mix together the buttermilk, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, and the oil. Place the chicken pieces in the buttermilk mixture and coat them thoroughly. Marinate the chicken in the buttermilk mixture overnight in the refrigerator.

Preheat the toaster oven to 425 degrees F.

In a food processor, mix the oats, red pepper flakes, the remaining i teaspoon salt, Parmesan, and basil. Pulse until the oats are partially powdered. Alternatively, mix the ingredients together in a bowl with a wooden spoon. Place the oat mixture on a plate.

Shake any excess buttermilk off the chicken and dredge to coat each piece thoroughly.

For easy clean-up, cover the toaster oven baking tray with aluminum foil and lightly spray it with oil. (Check your manufacturer’s instructions, however, for any cautions against the use of aluminum foil in your toaster oven.) Place the chicken pieces on the tray so that they are not touching one another.

Spray the chicken pieces lightly with oil and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes, depending upon the thickness of the meat, until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

Remove the chicken from the toaster oven and serve hot or refrigerate and serve cold over a salad.

Grilled swiiss on rye-The toaster oven is so cute! I want it!

  79. Celeste Campbell Says:

    Indoor S’Mores

Take a graham cracker. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly across the top, keeping chips at least 1/4″ to 1/2″ away from edges. Cover graham cracker with miniature marshmallows, again leaving a 1/4″ to 1/2″ margin around the edge of the graham cracker. Turn your toaster over to “Top Brown” or “Broil” so that the bottom of the cracker is not toasted/burned while you are trying to toast the marshmallows. Monitor the toaster over carefully, as marshmallows can burn, even ignite, if left under the heat too long.

When the marshmallows are toasted, remove the graham cracker. Top with another graham cracker if that is your standard practice, or eat as is to save a few calories and maximize the chocolate/marshmallow to graham cracker ratio.

It is generally easier to assemble your S’mores on the rack in the toaster oven, rather than assembling it outside the oven and then trying to transfer the graham cracker to the toaster oven rack. Chocolate chips, as well as miniature marshmallows, have a tendency to roll around, and removing chips or marshmallows from the bottom of a warm toaster oven is virtually impossible.

Chicken or beef quesadillas are great in the toaster oven.

    Flour tortilla
Monterrey Jack cheese (or cheddar cheese)

Lay the tortilla flat and place the fajitas and cheese in center. Cook in toaster oven until just barely melted and fold in half and cook until crispy and the cheese is melted all the way through.

You may need to heat the fajitas in the microwave before adding to tortilla to make sure they are hot all the way through.

You can also add anything you want to these - mushrooms, onions, black olives and you can add avocado after they have cooked.

Fast easy and the kids love them!
