Win Sauce …and A Microwave from Bertolli

Bertolli has a line of premium sauces that dress up the spaghetti a lot nicer than your regular Ragu. With varieties such as Summer Crushed Tomato and Basil and Champignon and Portobello Mushroom, you almost feel as if you’re eating at a bistro instead of your kitchen table. My husband and I enjoy the Sun Ripened Tomato with Olives, by the way – we think it’s great on tortellini.
What I love most about these sauces is their convenience. I don’t have to dirty pots and pans, I simply microwave the pouch and we’re good to go. So…great tasting specialty sauce in a microwave pouch. Yeah, I’m digging that.
Bertolii wants you to dig it too! They’re giving away three pouches of Bertolli sauce to a lucky Cookerati winner. And to make sure you get the full effect, they’ll even toss in the microwave. Sweet! This is a $100 value so if your husband gets you some lame Christmas present like a paper shredder (No dear, I’m still not over it) you’ll at least have this to make up for it.
OK, you know me. I need my rules and regs and today is no exception. I always believe when a generous sponsor is involved, we need to offer props. So, I’d like you to show your support by dropping by the Bertolli website and telling us what sauce you’d like to try – and how you will make it. For instance, will you use it over pasta and if so, what kind? Will you use it as a dipping sauce? If so, what will be dunked? Go wild and use your imagination. Creativity counts,
The contest ends Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Be there or be square.
(And if you think this week’s and last week’s contests were awesome, just wait to see what’s in store for next week!)
Here are the deets on the microwave:

We love Bertolli! Count me in!!
would use it to dip on my jalapeno/cheese bites i make myself
My family loves Bertolli!
I’d like to try the “Summer Crushed Tomato and Basil” I’d add a few more ingredients and mix with cooked ground beef to try and make an easier taco filling. Throw on some lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and avacados in a taco shell and dinners served.
Oh these look yummy and over noodle would be great but how about over some turkey sausage and potatoe bits. I like the idea of squeezing some into a baked potato and adding a little cheese and having a pizza potato. I bet these would be good over any pasta, egg noodles or minispirals. My kids could make minipizzas easier with any bread thats in the house but I love the fact if my husband wants sauce for vegtable dips or for making a quick pizza pocket he can do it, no cans, no mess, open the pita and pour the items in and pour the hot sauce in and a hot pocket- ham or cheese or whatever deli meat is in there and makes it easy. I have made these and did not have tomato soup in th e cupboard and added milk and warmed again and a few spices and it tastes like a fancy tomato soup(don’t tell anyone you cheated). This stuff is versatile and handy for alot of reasons..take on camping trips, or for car trips where there is a hotel in the room because you can make soup, dipping sauces, or rice and pasta mixes ( minute rice in the microwave drained and this mixed and if you want to add – get some tuna in a bag or chicken in a bag- you know the shelved stuff) and you have a hot meal in a hotel room instead of unhealthy fats. Yep I carry silverware and microwave bowls with me on trips! I spend alot of time on the road sometimes, and the time and money spent in restaunts is just not worth it, and prefer to sit in the room and calm down with the roomie and save money and rest or have more time to shop real bargains.
Bertolli beats cooking from scratch ! – Hope I win
I would use the sauce to dip veggies like cauliflower in it or celery sticks with cream cheese and then dip in the sauce. WOW sounds great.
Bertolli is a quality brand! The Champignon and Portobello Pasta Sauce would be my choice over steaming pasta! I could prepare it in my brand new GE microwave…doesn’t get much better than that!
Thank you.
I would like to try the Marinara with Burgundy wine flavored sauce over some thin spaghetti. Yummy!!
We love Bertolli!
I love the tomato and basil sauce over vermicelli. Add a tossed salad and garlic bread and the meal is done. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Hey Deb, just so you know. I gave my husband a paper shredder for his birthday one year and it’s a great gift. I spent the money and got a nice one that had a nice looking basket. Some times useful things are good. Actually, as long as we make enough salsa to last 6 months, he’s a pretty happy guy. I guess it must be the secret ingredients.
I’d use the Summer Crushed Tomato and Basil. I’d just heat it and put it on top of some thin spaghetti.
I’m half Italian, so I would take the Sun-dried Tomatoes with Olives Sauce by Bertolli and “doctor it up” my style. First, I’d saute a little garlic and very finely chopped onion in some olive oil, and I add the Bertolli Sauce and a few teaspoons of my homemade pesto. Then as that was simmering, I’d make a nice Gemelli pasta or Farfalle. I use only Locatelli grated cheese, and that goes right on top. Can you tell I love to eat! I really want to win too!
I’ll use the portabello sauce as a bruschetta base. I’ll look like a fool firing up the grill on these blustery cold days but I don’t care. We grill year round.
I would use it as a sauce for my vegetables.
Our family would really love to try Bertolli’s. We need a change up in the menu. Right now everyone gets a pick from the cookbooks. Then I cook away. We would really try the Sun Dried Tomato w/olives with some homemade garlic bread and a pasta salad. Thanks so very much for the giveaway.
I would like to try the Bertolli Champignon & Portobello Mushroom Premium Pasta Sauce with Baked Chicken Wings.
You will need about 2 lbs of Chicken Wings, 2 tbsp of olive oil – sear the chicken over medium heat in the olive oil about 5-10 minutes each side or until browned. (You may also bake Chicken Wings in the oven 350 covered for about 15-20 minutes) Either way the chicken meat should fall off the bone once cooked. Place your Berotti Champignon & Portobello Mushroom Premium Pasta Sauce in the microwave – 90 seconds – pour over your Chicken Wings and serve.
Add a toasted baguette or ciabatta bread sliced diagonal with your favorite cheese (ex:mozzarella) melted on top- sprinkled with a dash of oregano or mixed herbs as a side. (Always good for soaking up the pasta sauce on the plate)
What a wonderful and generous giveaway. Our family loves Bertolli. My favorite is the portabello sauce. Tastes better than homemade! Thanks so much and Happy Holidays.
The Spicey Bertolii sauce would be perfect for dipping my homemade garlic rolls. quick and convenient!

I would use the Summer Crushed Tomato and Basil & smother my homemade meatballs with it & serve them on a garlic bread sub roll-yUmMy!!
I like buying Pillsbury pizza crust and covering it with butter, then parmesan cheese and mozerella cheese. After they are baked we use Bertolli Portabello Mushroom Pasta sauce to dip the cheesesticks in. Yummy!
I love Bertolli!!! I just tried their oven meals and it was just great! Being Single they are so quick and easy.
I love the crushed tomato and summer basil sauce. I add green olives and pour it over frozen meatballs, add cheese for a quick and tasty meatball sandwich!!!

Would add the tomato and basil sauce to pasta and beef to make a great meat sauce
This is perfect for my college student daughter to make in her dorm room, she’d love the tomato and olive sauce with a great loaf of Italian bread to dip in the hot sauce.
I would use the Marinara with Burgundy Wine sauce over bow tie pasta, and add fresh basil and capers to the dish, with shavings of parmesan cheese on top.
Absolutely love Bertolli!
Thanks for hosting a great giveaway.
BERTOLLI IS so good and what a great timesaver i would like to try the tomato and basil
I’m a huge fan of Bertolli’s Oven Baked Ravioli and some of their microwave meals, so I’m guessing that their Premium Sauces will be yummy as well. I’m trying a new Gnocchi recipe and I think the Champignon and Portobello Pasta Sauce would pair well with that. I also make home-made pizza a lot and I think the Sun Ripened Tomato and Olive would work for that. Thanks for the chance to win!

Summer Crushed Tomato & Basil over Angel Hair Pasta.
I like the Summer crushed Tomato and Basil. I make a mean homemade pizza, and this sauce would be perfect for my pizza!
